Is ClockZone really free to use?

Yes. All tools on ClockZone — the clock, alarm, timer, stopwatch, and world clock — are completely free, with no sign-up, no account, and no hidden fees. The site is supported by display advertising, which keeps it free for everyone.

Do I need to create an account?

No. ClockZone works instantly in your browser with no registration required. Just open the site and start using any of the tools right away.

Does ClockZone work on mobile devices?

Yes. ClockZone is fully responsive and works on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. It works in any modern browser including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

Do I need to install an app?

No installation needed. ClockZone runs entirely as a website. Simply bookmark clock-zone.com for quick access anytime.

Why is the time on ClockZone different from my device's time?

ClockZone displays the time based on your device's system clock and timezone settings. If the time looks incorrect, check that your device's date, time, and timezone settings are correct and set to automatic.

How do I set an alarm?

Go to the Alarm tab, choose your desired time using the time picker (or pick from a quick-set preset), optionally add a label and choose a sound, then click "Add Alarm." Your alarm will appear in the "My Alarms" list and can be toggled on or off anytime.

Can I set multiple alarms?

Yes, you can add as many alarms as you need, each with its own time, label, and sound. Every alarm can be individually switched on or off without deleting it.

Will the alarm still work if I close the browser tab or lock my phone?

No. Alarms run inside your browser tab, so the tab needs to stay open (and your device needs to stay awake) for the alarm to sound. For critical wake-up alarms, we recommend using your phone's built-in alarm clock as a backup. ClockZone's alarm is best for short-term reminders while you're actively using your computer or browser.

How do I turn off or dismiss an alarm?

When an alarm goes off, a pop-up will appear on screen. Click "Dismiss" to stop the sound. To prevent an alarm from ringing in the future without deleting it, simply toggle it off in the "My Alarms" list.

Can I change the alarm sound?

Yes. When adding an alarm, you can choose between Beep, Bell, and Digital sound options from the dropdown menu.

How do I use the timer?

Go to the Timer tab, enter the hours, minutes, and seconds you want to count down (or tap a quick preset like 5m or 10m), then click "Start." You can pause and resume at any time, or reset to enter a new duration.

What happens when the timer finishes?

When the countdown reaches zero, the display turns red and flashes, and a sound alert plays to let you know time is up. Click "Reset" to start a new timer.

How accurate is the stopwatch?

The stopwatch measures time down to the hundredth of a second (centiseconds) and is suitable for everyday timing needs such as workouts, cooking, or study sessions.

Can I record lap times?

Yes. While the stopwatch is running, click the "Lap" button to record a split time. All recorded laps appear in a list below the stopwatch, with the most recent lap at the top.

How does the World Clock work?

The World Clock tab shows the current local time, date, and timezone abbreviation for major cities around the world, updated live every second. It's useful for scheduling calls or checking what time it is for someone in another country.

Does the World Clock account for daylight saving time?

Yes. Times are calculated using each location's official timezone data, which automatically adjusts for daylight saving time changes where applicable.
